I have a group of blind and disabled friends who are going to this Hotel, does anybody know how suitable this is going to be for them including wheelchair users.

I saw this post a couple of weeks ago but as I don't know the hotel, which appears to be in Felixstowe, I didn't comment. I'm a little sceptical about the bad reviews it gets on TA. I always think it extraordinary when small hotels and B&Bs, almost certainly catering for a largely elderly clientele, get more reviews in a year than some much larger hotels catering for international travellers. I suspect that in common with many seaside towns where there is cutthroat competion as B&Bs chase fewer guests, the owners (and their rivals) are far more familiar with TA than most of their guests.

If this is indeed the Marlborough Felixstowe it would be entirely unsuitable for wheelchair users if wishing to get to the beach, it is at the top of a very steep hill, although quite handy for the town. Having just read Wansteaders post and understanding the point you are making, I do remember visiting this hotel for a party about 8 years ago and thinking I most definitely would not want to stay there!
