I am going to the Chateau Champlain Marriott 2 weekends from now and want to avoid there awful $24 valet fee per day. I am staying for three nights and was wondering if there were any metro stations I could park for 3 nights and the car would be safe and obviously the cheaper the better. Also, I know there are other garages downtown but I am fearful of limited availability and prices just as high as the hotel. HELP!

I can't say anything about safety, but you're allowed to park at the Longueuil métro station for as long as you want... this post has more info: tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g155032-i51-k16008…

Tristou, I tried this once to save a few bucks. IMHO, it was not worth it. If you park in the lot and take your luggage on the Metro, you have a minimum of two stations with no escalators and lots of stairs, Longueuil and Berri-UQAM. If you check in the hotel first, you have a long drive to take your car to the lot and then a Metro ride back that costs $2/person and can take 40 or so minutes. There are lots downtown that have lower weekend rates such as Complexe Desjardins. There are probably other lots or garages near the Bell Centre that also have lower weekend rates.
