Hi my partner and i are due to go to the Catalonia Riviera Maya for our honeymoon on the 8th september.

does anybody know if it is wise to travel in september we worried about weather especially the hurricaines.

is the hotel nice

Well, September is still Atlantic hurricane season, but you shouldn't let it stop you from planning your honeymoon! Travel insurance might be a good idea to have, just in-case!

The CAT is a very nice resort in the Puerto Aventuras area! You will find lots of reviews and opinions here at this forum that will help you make an informed decision!

We have been there the last 2 Spts. Weather can be very nice or iffy. I would go but get trip insurance.

thanks for both your replies. we have already booked the holiday. We shall get the holiday insurance today. We still concerned that we wont see a day of sunshine.

Worry not! You'll see sunshine! You're more-likely to get just a brief afternoon thundershower that time of year, rather-than a hurricane!
