Glad to hear you had a good time!

Is there a bar open late that is outside?

When we booked our trip the Majestic was voted #1 in Punta Cana but has since dropped to #7. I guess my major concern would be the food. We are not picky people but would like to enjoy some of the food we eat. Did you have any stomach issues while on vacation? Also are any buildings better to stay in than others? Would prefer not to get a construction view.

Thanks for your input

Lila,

Bar closing time was my only complaint. Both upstairs and downstairs lobby bars close at 12am. The bar in the disco stays open until 3am but it is generally pretty crowded and not a relaxing atmosphere.

Summerfun,

I really do not know what to make of the reviews and the falling status of the resort on TA. They went completely out of their way to make my stay awesome. I actually joked with some other guests about having too much service... Oh and Annemarie is Awesome

I had absolutely no food issues AT ALL. As long as you select foods that are thouroughly cooked and stay away from sauces you should be ok. Dining at the Majestic is not a gourmet experience but it also isnt a bad one.

I stayed in building 3 in room 3346 (Oceanfront) and it was fabulous. Nice decor, no smell and a view to die for. My other choice would be Building 2 rooms 2146 and 2147 which are swimout suites closest to the beach.

How did you find out what number Majestic is. On this site it's still #2?

Helpful hint....

If you have room issues or inquiries once at the hotel, speak with Victor (Front Desk Manager).

He's a cool guy :0)

RobinsGirl - I happy to hear you had a fabulous time! I have 25 days to go until I have a Majestic waiting for me.

were you in the fitness room at all?? my husband is training for a marathon, and needs to keep up his mileage. he's hoping that the treadmill is in good condition, as he's not a fan of running on the beach. me, I plan to be cheering from the sidelines on a lounge chair, with a drink in hand... :)

Hi Alin! It was great to meet you as well:)

As soon as i can figure out how to resize the photos I will post them.. Or you can send me your email address and I will send a link to the pics to you.

Ensuing solitude I,m with you. The most excercise i got was from meringue lessons and doing the Taki Taki dance lol.. Didnt event venture near the work out room. Tell your hubby that there are tons of people walking and jogging on the beach. so i guess it will be ok.

Robinsgirl: Nice to see you back on the forum. Husband and I met you on your 1st trip to the Majestic. Remember he got stuck in the elevator in the lobby? Quick question: Did you get to tour the Elegence side of Majestic? If so, how does it look? Is the pool as nice as the colonial side? Is it adults only? Sounds like you love the place, as we did on our visit there when it first opened! Food, by the way, was really a highlight! Just awesome! Hopefully it is still as good! Sue
