Hello

I was wondering if anyone know what building Thomas Cook rooms are in and also the state of the building? Is it newly refurbished or not but still nice?

I am going on the 21st August 2008 and can't wait but just want to be prepared for what kind of room we may get.

Hi nienn87

They are changing daily right now because of the transition...so it "MIGHT" be 5, 7, 1, 2, or 3 depending on availability...on any given day..\

You can always write down to Guest Services

Kerry Cosentino

concierge@sunscapecasadelmar.com.do

Let them know of your concern...but by Aug 21st Bldg 5 and 7 which are the buildings that Thomas Cook "USED" to always get may then be closed by then..

Hope this is helpful

Hi baltobabe

thanks again for replying to the rooms question, I too am due in August as you probably know by my many posts.

You say that buildings 5 & 7 are PROBABLY going to be closed, this is what is so worrying about the whole thing there is no dates to when the buildings are to be shut down.

Could you not contact your good friend Kerry and get something more accurate?

thanks again for all your help.

Hola nienna and fusspot...

I have been in contact with Kerry and the management of CDM about the buildings and the progress.

They know that everyone is concerned and they do everything they can to address those concerns everyday.

They are doing their best to get everything done in a timely matter...

And I am sure that once August rolls around and you get there you will be having a wonderful time in a nice room!

I wish I was going back in August ... but alas I must wait until January!

Happy Travels!

Hello

Thanks for the information, i may send them an e-mail closer to the time and check the progress with the refurbishments.

Another question i had was, i know there is a spa in the resort, is this free to use or do you have to pay to get in? i know i will have to pay for treatments obviously but was just wondering if you have to pay to just use the sauna etc?

Thanks again.

Good Morning Nienna!

Here is the spa menu for CDM:

good-times.webshots.com/album/552823825ltmpDL

remember prices are always subject to change.

They have a special price ....I think it is $10 or $15 per person per day to use the Suana and Jacuzzi if you do not get any treatments...but if you buy treatments like facial or massage it is usually included in that...

This album above has lots of pics of both the Main Spa and the Eco Spa and throughout your stay they will advertise specials in the "SUNdial Newsletter" that you get every day.

Happy Spa-ing!
