Wow, you guys are going for 2 weeks. NICE. We will be going from August 3-9. We are staying at Fun Tropicale. I can't wait.

we are going aug 22nd my husband and i and our 3 children, it seems a long way off yet but we cant wait hope the flight is ok our youngest is 3 as long as she is ok the rest of us will be fine but none of us have flown long haul before.

We (4 adults) going Aug 16 thru the 22. I thought I was the only one that had to wait till August. I'm soooo tired of the winter. Hopefully we will be at Barcelo PP.

My Fiance and I, and His sister and Her boyfriend are all flying into Santiago on August 5th, we'll stay there until the 12th (my Fiance's family is from there so we'll spend some time with them) and then on the 12th all 4 of us will be heading up to Puerto Plata until the 15th then we fly back home to Boston.

I'm worried though! We went 2 years ago and stayed at Iberostar Costa Dorada, we LOVED it! Couldn't have had a better time. BUT i'm reading all the reviews lately and i'm shocked that they are all mostly bad!

I haven't booked our hotel yet, but i'm wondernig should I still have faith in ICD? OR should I look elsewhere?

What do you all think?

Has the price of the resort gone down since you last went?

Keep in mind, everyone likes different things. If this is a 4 star resort and people are use to staying in a 5 star resort them they are going to give it bad reviews. We are staying at the Fun Tropicale and I read mixed reviews about it. After joining TripAdvisor I spoke to people directly about their experience and now I feel better about our resort. Start a forum and see what kind of response you get. Good luck
