The restaurant is quite confined and was crowded. During our meal for 4 there were four different instances where things were not done properly. The worst was the waiter recommended the monkfish cheeks and when they came out the fish tasted like it had been soaked in Clorox. I took one bite and spit it out. They offered me something... more

Though recommended by a top Chicago chef, Iris disappoints in every category. Food, service and value. This is the first restaurant in which I have ever sent back an entree because it was so inedible. The dish was short ribs which were pure fat with no hint of meat.
