A few friends from home came in town and they insisted we go to one of Emeril's restaurants. So we got reservations online and went out to eat on a sunday afternoon. We were greeted by Jorge(Sp?) the matre'd with a warm smile and pleasant conversation. Two of our other friends were running late and had called for directions, after... more

I loved NOLA. The food, from Chef Michael, was fantastic and the service provided was excellent. The wine list was adversely affected by Katrina, but is still quite good. The wine service, led by Sommelier Hoff and staff, was also superb. In addition to its taste, I always like a little information about the wine. He could provide that and... more

I was apprehensive rather than excited to be going to my first Emeril's restaurant after reading the reviews posted here. I decided to keep an open mind and am so glad I did! The atmosphere was wonderful (I especially liked watching the pastry chef make pie crust in the 3rd story kitchen window), the service impecable (as I see in... more

I don't understand the mediocre reviews that I have read on this site regarding this great restaurant. We were just there the evening before the 4th of July. It was busy, yet I wouldn't say it was so noisy we couldn't hear ourselves talk, that's just an exagerration. The service was impeccable, the waiters asked if we had any food... more

A great upscale dining experience for families with children. Very lively atmosphere. Children won't be noticed if loud because lots of talking and the noise level is above average. This didn't bother me at all. We had reservations and waited less than 15 minutes for 5 adults to be seated. Service was great. Food was as good if not better... more

My husband, daughter and I went to NOLA for desert and coffee (we asked if we could come in for just desert so as not to take up a dinner space from a waiter) because I had read the average reviews and didn't want to spend the money for dinner. We had a fun time, enjoying the atmosphere and perpetual... more

Three adults dined at NOLA on June28th. We were seated within a few minutes of our reservation time. First thing to know is it is SO loud and noisy don't even think about carrying on a conversation. The pace was rushed, the service was over exaggerated. APPETIZERS: Fried Green Tomatos with Lump Crabmeat - average, nothing special, portion enough for... more

Our party of 3 dined at NOLA's because a friend recommended it and we all visited other affiliated restaurants. We were disappointed by NOLA. The food was inconsistant (salmon was pretty good, red fish was a disappointment and sides were bad) and the service was spotty. The young men that served beverages and bread to the table (Roy and Terrence)... more

Went to Nola on 06-13-08. My fiance' had salmon which she said was good but she had better. I had the filet mignon which won't rank in the top 10 of the best steaks I ever had. Service was par for an average chain restaurant, but I expcected more with the reputation NOLA has. Went to GW Fins also on... more

When visiting New Orleans for a conference, I had a chance to dine at Nola's. What an experience! Not only was the food a great disappointment, but my dining partner actually had a cockroach on her plate of food. I ordered the ribs. When I took a bite, I had a hard substance in the food. Initially I thought it... more
