We were looking for an excellent seafood place to visit in Boston and this was definitely it. The raw bar had a great selection of delicious oysters and the lobster roll was wonderful. The atmosphere is fun but very very tight--don't take a large group. The only negative was the chowder--it had great flavor but was much thinner than expected. more

After spending months on this forum picking the brains of all the wonderful Boston area TA experts, I knew I wanted to try a lobster roll. Somewhere I'd seen an article that ranked Neptune's Oyster's lobster rolls in the top three in Boston. The website proclaims it quite loudly and we trekked into the North End last Friday night on that premise - "serving until midnight." Crazy fresh oysters and fish done perfectly in a nice, tiny restaurant in the NE. Possibly my favorite restaurant in Boston. more

We adored this lil "hole in the North End." Fantastic oyster bar with unique seafood menu and authentic Italian feel. Can't wait to go back! more

Probably my favorite restaurant in boston. Only reasons it doesn't get five stars is that they don't reservations, and the kitchen is not very flexible. more

I love raw oyster, so I've eaten it around the world. I had raw Kumamoto oysters at Neptune Oyster, but they tasted a little fishy. I'll say that the oyster I had at Neptune was not so good compared to others I've ever had. I also orderd other dishes, but they were not so good though the price was high. more
