you'd almost miss this little Turkish/Middle Eastern cafe, tucked away behind the Mayflower apartments. But it's certainly worth the one and half block stroll from the beach. In my opinion, The Mayflower Cafe is a diamond in the rough. The few times that I have been there I have not once received anything other than the best service. It’s about time we got some Middle Eastern Cuisine in this entire Hampton, Norfolk and VA Beach area. We really enjoyed the great food. Very nice location at VA Beach. Best part is when you are really really hungry and you are served with hot bread (NAN) fresh from oven and some Humus. Mixed grill and Shish Kabobs were great.... more

Ramazon really knows how to make a wonderful pita bread. We bought 10 of them to take home with us. The Mayflower Cafe was recommend to us by our waitress at Tautogs. It's located below an apartment building (Mayflower Apts), and it's a small place with about 10 tables.
