I'm not from Memphis, not even from the South like most of the people I encountered there at this fine establishment on a summer Saturday evening: that is why I really dig this place- I got to see a slice of life that was different from where I'm from! My sister and I went during Elvis Week. We both Love BBQ, and heard quite a bit about Silky O'Sullivan's....we were not disappointed! Loved the atmosphere, and Loved the BBQ ribs. Great dry rub flavor, unusual flavor to the cole slaw, but good, and very good baked beans. We ate in the courtyard, where the atmosphere was very nice, great... more

We stopped in for a cold beer and looking to sample some ribs. We ordered a sampler which was cheap, $7! We got beans and bread for both of us on that sampler. The food looked delicious and the ribs were out of this world. The bartender took a while to warm up to us but after he did he... more
