We have been to Dad's place three times now and have enjoyed it each time! We love to sit outside and enjoy the water view and watch the trains go by while enjoying our meal. Dad's isn't the kind of place you want to have a business dinner at. It also isn't a place to come if you want your food stacked on your plate like the Eiffel Tower with microgreens and a lemon foam or wish to consult a sommelier before ordering wine. Be very careful at this restaurant! Dad's is not your "father's" Dad's anymore now that the Waddington's have sold the place about 6 years ago. Corners are cut all of the time, and have seen first hand how food safety has been compromised. The town hall is around the corner on Rt 161. Stop in and check the current food... more

This "review" is a complete lie written by a former employee who hasn't been inside our restaurant since 1999. We happily invite anyone to review our food inspections. We consistently receive a score of between 96 and 100 points of 100 possible. Food safety is our maximum concern, and always has been. In addition, we have more Qualified Food Service...

Dad's is classic. Picnic tables. Burgers. Flies buzzing around. And TONS OF FRIED SEAFOOD, and man do they pile it on high! Prices have gone up quite a bit over the past $10 years, but it still the best road-side place to eat in the area by far! more
