Excelsior is a wonderful little place in the middle of Colorado Avenue with fantastic atmosphere, a friendly staff, good food, great wine list, and a fantastic bar menu for those in search of value. I thoroughly enjoyed the desserts as well, and the people watching from the bar is always good. more

The wine recommendations (and wine) were excellent. The polenta fries were creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside--the aioli with them would have been better with more garlic, but the truffle oil made up for it.
