Sam is very personable and will make you a damn good sandwich. You will probably either really like or dislike the service, but I like the neighborhood feel. Check out the Fetta Finger -- a chicken tender sub, smothered in lettuce and melted feta cheese. more

I just loooooove fat sams. Its always the little hole in the wall places that are so great. Well, fat sams is the BOMB! I havent been there in over two years and he remembers 'my usual'. He is always personable and cool. Always willing to talk football or rock n roll. I usually get the ham pita with provolone... more

It's a small hole in the wall place with modest furnishings but fantastic food. Nothing fancy, just great subs and homemade fries. BEST cheese steaks in B'ham!! Sam always makes sure everything is up to par. I eat there almost every time I'm in Southside around mealtime. Don't miss it! more
