We travel to Puerto Vallarta a couple of times a year and always make time for a dinner at La Palapa. It is a very romantic, white linen restuarant on the beach. For the full effect, you need a table on the sand. The food is good, the prices are not too bad and the service is excellent. more

We had been to some other great restaurants in PV. This was by far the best. It is the most romantic restaurant. I have dined at many high-end restaurants and this one is on my top ten. The food, service and atmosphere are incredible. There is live music that is so relaxing and when they take a break there are... more

Right on the beach at the south end of the Malecon. It's been there for years. We had a delightful breakfast there - try their Eggs Palapa! more

We ate dinner here June 4, 2008. The food was delicious, and after the beautiful sunset, the atosphere with all the candles was magical. They also had live music it was very relaxing. I really enjoyed my meal here! more

Mu husband and I just celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary with a beachside cocktail party at La Palapa restaurant. The events manager, Federica, was so helpful and attentive. We had about 50 people join us from the US. Our guest can't stop talking about the party. Everyone had a great time. We could not have been happier with the... more

Oh my, the atmosphere, decor and wonderful service is just the beginning. As our time was so limited in PV we were only able to have breakfast here which was deletable! This will be #1 on our list for dinner (and breakfast) when we return!! more

We go to PV 1-2 times a year, after La Palapa popping up on every website as being highly recommended, we decided to try it. I thought the food was bland and way too american - I can get the same thing in the states. We go on vacation to experience something new and authentic to the area. The view... more

We reserved the “romantic dinner” which is a private table for you right on the beach. I believe there were 5 course (shrimp, sea bass, lamb chop, seafood soup, flour less cake), you have a private waiter and they set up a separate table for dessert/after dinner drinks. This was a real treat and I highly recommend it to anyone... more

Day 1 in Puerto Vallarta and stopped into La Palapa to have Mango Daiquiri’s, watch the sunset and figure out were to have dinner. Since we were already in the Palapa we decided to stick around for dinner. My wife and I have had cocktails here before but have not had the full dining experience. BTW, this is a great... more

I had dinner at La Palapa with two friends seeking a nice but relaxed meal at a beachfront location (and a break from Mexican food and the Malecon restaurant strip), and that is exactly what we had. The setting could not be better and we picked the perfect time of night to go, arriving half an hour before sunset... so... more
