We have just returned home from our 7 day break at the highland cottages at crubenbeg. We stayed in the Hazel cottage; which had 3 bedrooms [one was en-suite] it was ideal for me and the missus; mother and father in law and 2 Jack Russels; Very peaceful; the owners; Sian and Cameron made us very welcome; gave us lots... more

Great location - very central and easy to get around. The facilities in the cottage were excellent. Cameron and Sian seem to have thought of everything. Good for dog owners too. We were apparently in the smallest cottage but found it very spacious for two plus dog. Nice walks around the area and very peaceful. Eco friendly policy is a... more

My partner and I booked this cottage fairly last minute and were delighted with it's location right off the A9! With my brother and his partner deciding to joing us late on we occupied two of the one bedroom properties at Crubenbeg. The cottages were spotless, well-equipped and very cosy. We loved the log fire, and the bottle of wine... more

We stayed at Crubenbeg in March of this year, having found it on the 'net. Contact with the owners was easy via e-mail and the confirmation and information sent by post were excellent. The property itself was perfect for 2 people, with everything needed. It was an excellent base to explore the area, especially if you are willing to walk... more

Crubenbeg!! A fantastic get away, secluded in the highlands but not too far off the beaten track!! Perfect to relax and re charge the batteries!! Cameron and Sian were the perfect hosts, never saw them but always on hand should you need them - you couldnt ask for more. The wildlife was great, the views magnificent and the weather no... more

Good standard cosy highland accommodation. Clean and tidy, The wood burning stoves are a lovely feature. The outdoor gamesroom for kids could do with some modernisation though. A good base to explore the Highlands as the cottages are just a short drive to the A9. 20 minutes drive north and you're in Aviemore. 5 minutes south and your at the... more

Had a great Easter Holiday at Crubenbeg, and the kids won't stop asking "When can we go back?" (hopefully this year). Beautiful setting, easy to find, very friendly & helpful owners. There's plenty to do locally; Newtonmore Highland Folk Museum, Kincraig Wildlife Park (loved the Red Pandas), Dalwhinnie Distillery Tour, Loch Insh Watersports. Crubenbeg's location is ideal for venturing further... more

Great central location, private, exceptionally well designed and furnished units. Booking was easy and the owners could not have been more helpful, great local knowledge and straight talking honest opinions of stuff to do, especially where to get the best of the Scottish larder, even in winter! Need more honest and quality accommodation like this elsewhere in Scotland! 5 Stars... more

We were extremely lucky to come across Crubenbeg cottages and enjoyed our stay very much. The young couple who own and run the cottages made us very welcome and provided us with lots of local knowledge, enabling us to make the most of our stay. The surroundings are stunning with many walks, bike tracks and canoeing spots. Our cottage was... more

This area of Scotland is absolutely stunning. There are so many things you can do around here - skiing, hiking, water sports to name but a few. And all perfectly complemented by the accomodation we stayed in, Crubenbeg Highland Holiday Cottages, and our hosts there. There is almost enough to do in their grounds! I thoroughly recommend their hospitality if... more
