Kamahi Cottage was the perfect end to our honeymoon. We had been travelling around Australia and New Zealand for a month and we had stayed at a lot of high end resorts and hotels before we had arrived at Kamahi Cottage. What we found when we got there was nothing short of magical. Elisabeth (the owner) came out to greet... more

Graham from Kent in England was taking his youngest daughter on a trip and they really enjoyed their stay in Kamahi Cottage. The beef and sheep farm was set in the rolling hills of the North Island in 1120 acres including meyer lemon, lime and fruit trees, a well stocked garden and wonderful outlook. There was delicious homemade food and... more

I recently spent one night at Kamahi Cottage and found it to be and excellent choice and will stay there again if I am in the area. The directions were easy to follow and it was only 10-15 minutes from a main highway on all paved roads. The cottage is surrounded by lovely gardens and the host was friendly and... more

We arrived exhausted and jetlagged after a long flight from Canada via Hong Kong. The kids were cranky. Liz greeted us and treated us like family. We didn't ever want to leave! Fabulous baked eggs for breakfast And make sure you see the angora rabbit shearing near the Waitomo Caves - hysterical! more

Kamahi Cottage is a special place. Not only because of the location with the view of rolling hills, sheep and wild turkeys, but also of the hosts, particularly Liz. She is not only an accomplished gourmet cook, but also a most gracious host. If you are in the area to visit the Waitomo Glowworm caves, this is the perfect location... more

We stayed here for two nights - but would have been very happy to have stayed much longer. This pretty cottage is absolutely perfect for use as a touring base for the region, or as a place to relax and watch the clouds go by. The thought that has gone into the cottage is evident every time you need something... more

We have just completed a most enchanting 5 days stay in Kamahi Cottage. Combining both perfect privacy with the invaluable presence of the owner's home a few steps away, through a cleverly designed garden, we felt at home the moment we arrived. Exceptionnal scenery all around, very cosy interior with heaps of DVD, CD, cushions and throws, excellent comfortable bed,... more

We stayed here for one night celebrating our wedding anniversary. The cottage is spotlessly clean, packed with all items you could possibly need. This is the only accommodation on the farmstay, and attention to detail is the key here. Kiwi books and DVDs, thick socks, possum hotties, an honesty minibar, even a set of binoculars make this a luxurious home... more

This is the place to stay if you want accomodation with the personal touch. The cottage was in a delightful rural setting but so close to the local attractions around Waitomo. Everything you could want was supplied including luxury toiletries. Each day there were wonderful cakes made by Liz and perhaps some fruit from her orchards. The breakfast which she... more

This is my first time to visit New Zealand, and we chose to stay at Kamahi Cottage in the North Island at one of the night. As attracted by the photos and description in the website, we decided to make the booking. There is only one cottage (booking) per time, the schedule of Kamahi Cottage was pretty packed. We picked... more
