The front desk was very nice, a bit hard to understand if you call for directions. I was only there for a day and a half but i wished I could stay longer. The rooms are basic but the views make up for it and it was definitely nice to dip in the very large and clean pool. the towel... more

We stayed at the Waikiki Sand Villa for two nights while we stopped over in Honolulu before going to Maui. The rooms were clean and quiet. Nothing extravagant but for a place to stay in the center of activity, it did the trick. The pool area was beautiful, we had our continental breakfast there. The breakfast just about held you... more

I admit I was cheaping out on the first week of our trip to Waikiki but the hotel was a pleasant surprise. Sure the rooms (we stayed in a Pualeilani Studio) needed updating (carpet mostly) but overall it served it's purpose. And like many other times stated, how much time do you spend in your room anyways? The pool (area)... more

My daughter & I just got back from 7 days at the Waikiki Sand Villa & we could not have been happier. This hotel had everything we needed. No, it is not a 5 star hotel, but if you just want a clean, safe room to sleep in, this will do the trick! It has a nice pool area with a... more

I wouldn't say this hotel is above average in looks or amenities, but it is definitely above average for the price. If you are like us and use your hotel room mostly just to sleep, then this hotel is great. It's not fancy, and although the carpeting and some elements of the room are worn, it is very clean. The... more

Location- Right next to the river, away from the beach front. But only a 5-10minute walk to Waikiki Beach. Close to shops and restaurant. Quiet street. Rooms- The Pualeilani Suites are over the pool and have a kitchenette and sofa bed. Quite roomy, but dark inside. Only problem was the constant noise during the night (possibly the spa or pool... more

Waikiki Sand Villa Hotel, located about 6-7 blocks from Waikiki Beach, if you're willing to take public transportation, "The Bus" which is rated # 1 bus service all over the states... stops about 3-4 blocks from it (buses # 19,20 and 42 as long as the buses say Waikiki Hotels) hotel is right beside Ala Wai Canal, nice view as... more

We stayed one night in the Sand Villa, in a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool. The room was comfortable. There was a loud rumbling noise, seemingly from something like a big central air conditioner, that continued all night. It was about as loud as a plane during flight -- certainly not unendurable, but not pleasant either. The... more

We have just got back from staying at this hotel and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with it. The location is great, yes it is not right on the beach but it takes about 5 minutes to walk to it. It is also 1 minute from a supermarket (Food Pantry) and short walks to lots of restaurants... more
