As a retired military member I have nothing but good things to say about our recent stay at the Hale Koa. I made reservations 11 months in advance. Since we were celebrating our 2nd year wedding anniversary I requested a deluxe oceanfront room in the Maile tower on a high floor. We arrived early at 3:30 PM and check in... more

We have been to the Hale Koa 4 times and want to go back for christmas one time. We have stayed in many hotels on the coasts. I have'nt found one better for even more money. The staff are always terrific and rooms are clean. The pool cafe kept us fed most of the time except for dinner. We usually... more

Excellent Stay! I stayed there for 7days and 6 nights, with my new husband, we were married on 6-21-08. We had a great stay. The hotel room was nice Partial Ocean View, with a King Size Bed, it was not "All That" but it was clean and very sufficient. Room Service was great, the Food prices, can not be beat!... more

We are in our mid 40's now and have not been there in 20 years. All we could say was WOW! The place is amazing. Rooms are a bit small and lack of a decent frig in the room is a bummer, but for the price, view, great eats and beach front it can't be beat. Not to mention the... more

My boyfriend and I are both military. I am in the National Guard and he is retired Active Duty. He now works for the civilian sector and had a business trip to attend in Oahu the week of 1-8 May 2008. Since it was a last minute trip the Hale Koa was booked. However, we continued to call back to... more

wonderful place to stay on the cheap in waikiki. on great stretch of beach with big kids and adult pools. extremely friendly and helpful staff. this place doesn't try to get you every chance like other hotels in hawaii. they have an exchange that sells cheap food and the restaraunts are very affordable. all the feel of a resort, it... more

This was a great value. Not the prettiest, most luxurious, but a great value nonetheless. We paid 135 a night for an ocean view room. The room was comparable to a two or three star hotel. It was adequate. Not the cleanest, shower pressure was not good, but hey, who wants to stay in a room when you're in HAWAII???... more

Our family just returned from 7 days at the Hale Koa. We've travelled to Maui, Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, and throughout the United States, and our overall Hale Koa experience was exceptional and we are very happy with our decision to stay here. The grounds are beautiful! We paid $168/night for water view and were on Waikiki beach with other... more

I have been staying at the Hale Koa for 10 day increments for the last 5 years and all I can say is ..... AMAZING! The resort itself is breathtaking. The amenities are second to none. I have read many of the reviews and you will NOT find a beach front resort of this magnitude for the price! The pools... more
