Stayed for 10 days and had the greatest time of our lives. The hotel is in the best beach location. The only other two hotels that have an equally good beach location is the Royal Hawaiian and the Moana Surfrider, which are both right next door. Ok No.1 complaint,Im 47,work all year for my vacation,and Im told do not enter the beach area with a drink,even in plastic. In Mexico they run me beers asap in the Hot Sun. I dont wanna get drunk,but if I want a cold LEGAL product,then IM a criminal in Hawaii. Thats not the Hotels fault,just more over regulated American Laws.... more

We stayed there in 2000 & it was fabulous. This time it seemed run down & the help is all 20 years old & could care less. They need to seriously upgrade before the cockroaches take over. Due to miscommunication with the website company we booked with, when we arrived to the hotel, we found out we were "homeless!" The staff pulled together to see if there was a room available and there was. They even checked to see if we could check-in early and the room was ready. Kudos to all the staff! I stayed here for 4 nights recently with my husband and our 1yo daughter. The service was excellent right from the beginning of our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nithing was a bother to them. We received a free upgrade to a partial ocean view room which was beautiful/ The room was spacious and very quiet.... more

stayed at outrigger april5th -15th, asked for upgrade on arrival {from city view} told not hotel policy to offer such, unless we paid, fair enough but prices for upgrade , adjoining rooms where astronomical, felt staff inflexible. scsv overlooked cheesecake factory pretty noisy but could put up with that, what we couldnt put up with was the noises from adjoining... more

What can i say - i have just returned home after spending 10 nights at the Outwrigger Waikiki Hotel. On arrival the staff were extremely friendly, we had initally been allocated a city view room , as we booked holiday through United Vacations, but for a fee I upgraded to a parial ocean view. Well worth the money after all... more
