I booked one night at the Adele Turner Inn for my wedding anniversary. Although I read all of the negative comments, I had a gift certificate that covered all but $8.35 of the bill. I called and booked directly with a young man at the inn. I stated several times that it was a special anniversary but he did not... more

My wife and I are avid B&B fans and always seek out interesting and historic buildings when we travel. We bought into this one hype hook line and sinker based on their website and and the “Select Registry Distinguished Inns of North America” listing. As previously mentioned by others, the inn does not live up to its website hype. Yes,... more

The inn does not live up to its website hype. While the property is interesting and historic, the inn itself is tired and in dire need of a facelift. The staff is friendly and tries to please, but this does not seem to be an owner operated inn, so that personal touch is missing. We too experienced the "out of... more

I have not stayed here -- my review is based on my attempt to stay there and trying to obtain correct information from the Inn and website. I will not stay here based on the deceptive experience I had with their website and their email. Their website states that the rooms start at $125. When I went into "booking" to... more

We have been to newport several times and always enjoyed the city. We had stayed at the "sister" in The Cliffside Inn, several years ago and loved it. We saw the website and brochure for the Adele Turner and assumed it would be of the same caliber, it was NOT. The staff was very friendly and as helpful as possible... more

The website for this Inn is very slick and unfortunately, very misleading. The website says this: "we feature a wine and food pairing event unlike any other in Newport. Equal parts wine bar, wine club, tasting dinner and social soiree, you will taste wines from our cellar, perfectly paired with artisan cheeses and other specially prepared and matched gourmet goodies".... more

My husband and I just returned from a couple of days at the Adele Turner Inn. I was nervous about it because I read the reviews after I had booked the place, and some of them were so bad. However, we loved it there! The place is lovely, warm, charming. The people who work there are cheerful, helpful, and just... more

I'm not really an inn person, although I've stayed in some that are lovely and cozy. This one is not so much; First, the best part: we stayed in the Spa Room, private rooftop deck with nice hottub. It has a beautiful view and the hottub is great, there's really nothing bad to say about the deck. The rest ......... more

This inn is vastly over-hyped - top 10 inn, top 20 tea, fine linens, wine and food pairing. We stayed in the Pelham room. The room was neat and clean but only of average condition - mauve carpet left over from the 80's, cheap lamps, reproduction tables, average drapery, mattress as hard as a rock, etc. There is only one... more

We also stayed in the suite that had a rooftop deck. Sounded great and the pictures on their website looked good. The room was very small. No real closet, just what looked like a "homemade" armoire. The drawers didn't work and you could only hang a few things in it. There was no place to put your toiletries in the... more
