We paid $63 including tax for a room here on a Saturday night. Considering the price, it was well worth it. No, it isn't a four star hotel, but for what we paid I was more than happy. It was easy to find, clean, big room, coffee maker, hair dryer, free breakfast and pleasant staff. They even had a fitness... more

After reading the reviews here I decided to spend a night at the Lord Amherst. The place is looking tired and walking to the room I recognised the strange motel smell I had not noticed since I was a child (on other adventures). My room faced the main street, annoyingly the windows did not cut out hardly any of the... more

We stayed at the Lord Amherst Motor Hotel for one night on August 4 after visiting Niagara Falls (30min drive) in the day. We were very pleased with the hotel. We had a room with 2 double beds and it was very spacious - in fact bigger than rooms at 4 star hotels. There were some issues such as some... more

It was okay, but the bathrooms are very anitquated and I did see an occational spider here and there. The staff was very kind and accomadating. It is just an older hotel...if you like something newer, you should invest the extra $20 or so and get something better more

I stayed here for 5 days and it was fine. The staff there were very nice. The rooms were a bit run down but it was spacious. Bedding was fine, it was easy to adjust the temperature in the room. The bathrooms weren't in the best shape. It was very quiet as it is located in the suburban area. Breakfast... more

As a former resident of the Buffalo area, I remembered the Lord Amherst as one of the better hotels in Western New York. Recently I booked three nights in the hotel while visiting for my high school reunion. Unfortunately, the hotel has seen better days. It suffers from lack of maintenance in many ways and is very noisy day and... more

Big rooms, very clean, good staff. Continental breakfast was good. Only problem was, there was no refrigerator, microwave and iron box. They have a laundry where you can iron your clothes. Overall very satisfying experience. Will definitely stay there again. more

The trip advisor description of two stars: Okay, but some problems, exactly fits this motel. The grounds and check-in area are clean, the continental breakfast is good, but the room itself is 10 years late in maintenance. Of the two beds, one had a decent mattress, the other sagged about 3 inches in the middle and fell even lower when... more

The hotel accepts pets and is kept clean and for a 50 dollar hotel you can't do much better - it includes high-speed internet that is as fast as my home location so it made the stay very easy - they are quite kind to dogs and the staff was very friendly. I reccomend staying here. more

It costs me $42 on the night of a Bills/Jets game. Just make sure that you stop on I-90 and get the hotel coupon book. Really easy to find; clean large rooms. Decent buffet. more
