My husband and I decided to take a quick trip to Estes Park for my birthday and I wanted to stay somewhere unusual. I searched the Internet and finally found "Deer Crest Resort" After talking to the owner, Ken. I decided this is just what we wanted. Ken's description of his property was exactly as we found it to be.... more

We stayed at the Deer Crest Resort for 2 nights in July. Ken and Carrie are both very pleasant and helpful. The location of the resort was excellent - not right in town where the streets can become congested but close enough that you could actually walk the distance if you wanted to. Being right by the Fall River was... more

The Deercrest Resort exceeded our expectations. We were welcomed by the friendly owners, Carrie and Ken. Upon arrival, we were offered popcorn, hot chocolate, DVDs and books to borrow. We had room 209, an upstairs room which we thought was average sized, very clean, and simply, but nicely decorated. It had a refrigerator, microwave, one king bed, a small bathroom,... more

Room was clean and neet, not opulent. Wonderful to be on the Fall River and very convenient to town. If you are looking for a resort, then it would be best to look elsewhere, but if you want a nice quite place, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced, this will work nicely. more

The location of the chalet park is beautiful, alongside Fall River, just so peaceful and quiet. Our chalet was at lower level, so had its own verandah. This was good for sitting around, sipping our glass of wine, when we returned from our after dinner evening stroll. The chalet was comfortable, but badly in need of an update, ie, carpets, bedding and... more

We really enjoyed our stay at Deer Crest. Ken & Carrie are great hosts. We were in room 206 and would request it again. A good sized room, comfy bed, soft towels and loveseat double recliner to put our feet up on after hiking in RMNP. True, there could be more light at the sink, but that's true of most... more

My fiancee and I stayed at Deer Crest for one night at the beginning of October. We were planning on visiting Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) for the day and wanted somewhere close that we could relax and unwind after a day outdoors. Deer Crest was perfect for just that and only a couple short miles to the most scenic... more

We stayed there 2 nights. Older motel. Room needed to be updated with new carpet and bedding, but the mattress itself was comfortable. The room had a motel-like "cold" feeling, but if you're going to Estes Park you shouldn't be in the room that much. The back of our room had a little porch overlooking the fall river with a... more

We just got back from a 6 night stay at Deer Crest and we really loved the quiet, relaxing feeling of this place. The bed was very comfortable and the owners were great. It is right on Fall River and we stayed in Room 206, right by the waterfall. The only thing I would change would be better lighting over... more

This place is a hidden gem! We spent two nights of our vacation in the Old Man Mountain King Loft Suite and wished we had spent the whole week there. The suite was gorgeous -- huge moss rock fireplace, loft bedroom and beautiful decor. It was huge (so big, in fact, when I showed pictures to my mom, she thought... more
