Well this is not your typical hotel. It is truely an Inn and has the funky feel you would expect from the Highland Ave neighborhood. The place was built over 80 years ago and has recently gone through lots of renovations. The place is renovated but they didn't loose it's charm. The creeky doors, the soft spots in the floors,... more

The historic building is nice and has a restraunt & 3 bars just a walk outside the door. The rooms could use a well needed upgrade, I don't mean the plumbing which is very visible but normal since they are keeping the feel of the history of the building but the decor. Bedding, T.V., carpet, sofa & drapery are pretty... more

After staying in so many soulless prefab motels near Interstate exits, it was quite a change to find this old stone building in a funky neighbourhood of Atlanta. For the first time in awhile we could leave the car behind and walk to the shops and nightlife spots. The room was small but with a comfy bed, fridge, TV, A/C,... more

The front desk clerk was very rude to me when I told him, I believe I left my glasses at the Highland Inn Ballroom. He wasn't accommodating at all. He kept putting me on hold or hanging up on me. more

I've stayed at the Highland Inn on at least five different occasions. The hotel itself is okay, though the beds could use replacing (lumpy, uneven). The rooms are clean, iron and hairdryers can be procured. The location is the best in Atlanta as it's right at North street and N. Highland Avenue in easy walking distance to the Virginia Highlands... more

Stays; March/April 2003, May 2004/2005, March/April 2006, March/April 2007. We love this place!! It is relaxing, entertaining, people and pet friendly. We will continue to keep staying with Highland Inn and support the Little Five points area and surrounding area at the Inn, including the antique stores, bike shop, and tea shop. We hope to get away again 2008. "Jack"... more

Let me begin with the little things...20 minutes to check in, a continental breakfast which was the most meager I've ever seen, an unfriendly staff, only one soap in the room. The shower was dripping and the floor of the w/c was totally wet and that, coupled with the very slick w/c tiles, caused the floor to be as slippery... more

I stayed at The Highland Inn on my first trip to Atlanta. I was in town to see a few concerts at the Variety Playhouse in Little 5 Points, and since I didn't know much about the city, I wanted to stay as close to the venue as possible. Since then, I've been to Atlanta several times, and each time... more

I stayed in room 333 which faced the street and Although I liked the size of the room and the light in the day time. With the blinds closed there was a still a lot of light in our room from the lights outiside and noisy traffic. I thought I would not hear it because off the white noise from... more

If you're looking for a place with a good location in an established neighbohood, good night sleep, climate comfort and cable tv, this place works. The room felt more like staying in someones guest room rather than a inn. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant. Even "Joe" the resident cat provided a personal touch. The continental breakfast spread was... more
