I think the only reason to stay here is convenience to Turner Field. It is a three-block walk, and those three blocks are passing the parking lots and nothing else. The hotel is OK, staff was pleasant enough, rooms were fine although running low on tissues and toilet paper. Noise was a problem from loud people in the hallways, not... more

I was coming to Atlanta to attend a conference and didn't want to pay $200+/night for the conference hotels for 4 nights. So I went to Hotwire and requested a downtown hotel and got this hotel for about $80/night. Great savings obviously. But the "downtown" title that Holiday Inn uses and Hotwire uses are clearly misnomers as others have pointed... more

I decided to attend a real estate convention at the last minute and found the Holiday Inn Capitol Conference Center had available room for the 4 nights of 2/9-2/13/08. The entire Hotel was recently refurbished and the front desk staff was ready to receive me and give me the right room preferences on the first try. Exceptionally clean and fresh... more

Hotel is getting tired, rooms were cold at night, can't seem to keep the heat, breakfast is a little chaotic, service leaves something to be desired, location OK for Expo centre, right by Temple Field, probably would try somewhere else if I came back to Atlanta. more

I booked this through priceline and it's supposed to be 3 stars (out of 4) and downtown. Nothing about my stay suggested this should be rated so high. The staff wasn't helpful, the rooms were showing their age and needed to be updated as some things were in disrepair, the location was inconvenient unless you are there to see the... more

At a conference for a ridiculous rate: Beds were hard, sheets were scratchy. The staff was rude and beligerent to customers. I saw a restaurant worker (several minutes after the scheduled open time) scream at a would-be patron, "We are not opening yet because we were late getting breakfast cleared so ya'll just gonna have to wait." Lunch was catered... more

July 7th through July 11, 2007 Rooms were ok, clean. Staff was average at best. BAD location unless you are going to a ball game. The complimentary shuttle bus to the center of downtown (Georgia Dome, World Congress Center,Olympic Park, etc.) was easily overwhelmed with people. Not enough seats for the size of the hotel and it's location. So many... more

From check in to check out we received excellent service. With just a smile and asking nicely we were upgraded to a King Suite-sitting area was the adjoining room. Like an apartment. We really enjoyed our stay. When traveling we always rent a car and much to our surprise they waived the parking fee we were there for a week.... more

We loved the proximity to Turner Field, walk across the street and down a block and your inside. The lobby is beautiful and the staff was very friendly and efficient. Our room was in tip top shape and furnished nicely. We were on the 7th floor and had a nice view. The bar has a full menu and a smaller... more

Stayed here during a conference in Atlanta. I booked this hotel through Priceline for $65 a night. The location is pretty bad--like the other reviewer said. Nothing but parking lots for Turner Field down the street. I actually walked all the way to the Centennial Park from the hotel and it took 40 minutes (and through some unsavory streets). The... more
