For 3 weeks in July, 4 of us (myself and my wife along with my 70 year old parents) stayed at the Chambered Nautilus whilst visiting family and holidaying in Seattle. Our time at the B&B was a major factor in us having an excellent holiday. Joyce and her staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. From the... more

This was our first stay in Seattle and my husband and I decided to do a B & B. When I read all the interesting information on the Chambered Nautilus website I knew that this was the place for us. We were very impressed by all the little details in this character home, each room was lovely and comfortable and... more

We have stayed at The Chambered Nautilus BB for a few days every summer over past several years and enjoy the breakfast, wonderful service and rooms. We travel down with our teenagers and the suites with kitchen and seperate rooms is the best way to stay for us. The hostess, Joyce, is alway helpful and gourmet breakfast is a nice... more

While the location may not be ideal for everyone, for us it worked out fine. A short walk brought us to a bus downtown and there were things to do locally: a lovely park with many trails down the block, a really pretty upscale pedestrian mall about 10 minutes away (we didn't rent a car), and a lively avenue of... more

Every time I visit Seattle I stay at the Chambered Nautilus. It is a personable, clean, and convenient B&B with unbelievable charm. The owner, Joyce, is helpful and very fun to be with, but allows guests their peace and privacy. My biggest dilemma is which room to request.. they are all so nice! After numerous visits to this B&B I... more

I have to agree with the Pennsylvania girl that the price was on the high side for a non-luxury B&B. For the price, it was an average stay. The hostess was accommodating, as well as her staff. We enjoyed shopping at University Village which was very close by. Please be aware that you need to be able to climb many... more

Wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast. The property is charming, the room is very spacious and the breakfasts in the morning were some of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Definitely recommended. more

My husband and I have stayed in many B&B's, and we will not return to this one. Number one - I expect great coffee, especially in Seattle, and it certainly was not! The room was clean, bed was good, the breakfast was OK, but we both noticed that food and beverage at the table was controlled and measured. No breads,... more

We really enjoyed our stay, which was too brief! I usually don't stay at B&B's but we were celebrating so decided to try this one. Check in was a snap. I really appreciated the help with the luggage because my back was a bit tender. Our room was more than comfortable; furnishings were topical and quite nice. Breakfast was my... more

The Chambered Nautilus is a lovely B&B only about a 15 minute drive north of downtown Seattle, close to the University of Washington. The B&B is also close to the University Village Mall, with some lovely shopping and unique, affordable restaurants. The only caution to this B&B is the amount of stairs one has to climb. Seattle is a very... more
