We had a tough time deciding on a hotel or cabin, then opted for the cabin here at Rock Crest. There was something very appealing about them when we looked on the internet, and we thought for three days it would be nice to have kitchen facilities. We were not disappointed. We had a fabulous time here. Rock Crest is... more

The cabins are a great place to stay! My review is about the cabins. During the day I would walk down by the lodge and some of the doors were open so I could see the rooms looked very small and the lodge looks like it is from the 50's or 60's. The cabins were very large and in the... more

We decided not to stay in a chain hotel while in Custer and selected Rock Crest instead. The cabins here are great looking on the website, but I didn't want to spend the extra money. I asked about room #19 - a non-smoking duplex unit (with #20) that was renovated from a restaurant, and you just had to like it... more

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in the Honeymoon Suite in Sept 2006. The cabins are on a hill behind the hotel rooms. Yes there is a bit of road noise, but it's not bad. Our cabin had a King size bed, unfortunately it was not the most comfortable. We had a great deck with a hot tub. The cabins... more

My wife and I stayed in cabin #13 at Rock Crest Lodge over a long weekend Sept. '06. By staying 3 nights we were able to use a free pass into Custer State Park. The cabin had two queen beds and was very spacious and clean, with microwave and fridge. While this place is right in town it still feels... more

We stayed at the Rock Crest Lodge June 2006 for 6 nights in cabin 15. Upstairs in the sleeping loft was a queen bed and 3 twin beds. Downstairs had a living room with a sofa sleeper, kitchen and bathroom. The front porch was huge, and we managed to see woodchucks and deer from the cabin. The pool was nice,... more

We stayed in cabin #2. First of June of 2006. I must say one of the first things that you are going to notice about Rock Crest Lodge is everything is immaculate, everything! We had two full size beds in loft and a queen sofa sleeper in the bottom. If you are tall, you are going to have to stoop... more

We stayed in the lodge, room number 8 for three days. It was a clean, but the room was not set up wisely. I think it was just our room. (When I peeked into vacant windows, every other room seemed to be set up in a more intuitive and user-friendly pattern.) When you lay in bed, you stare right into... more

From the reviews I thought hidden cabins in the woods. These cabins are on the main street of Custer behind a motel. We paid 130.00 a night for a cabin that was a basic hotel room with a little more room to move around. Our shower was not cleaned and to me thats just gross. If I could do it... more

Cabins and Hotel rooms were great. Clean rooms. Nice outdoor pool (the hot tub was not working). Friendly staff. Great location for seeing the black hills. Cabins included nice size deck with table & chairs. Would stay there again! more
