I stayed at the Sheraton while at a conference. Stayed 2 nights. Room was clean and maintenance fairly good. Nice view of the river. Good location. Room service(breakfast) was very prompt food good and at temperature. Also a Starbucks in the lobby. Staff accomodating. After reading other reviews I expected noise but it was very quiet. Good trip all in... more

I stayed at this hotel June 1-5 2008 for a conference. I stayed on the 47th. floor (club room). The first room was a view of the french quarter, but I wanted a water view. I went back down to the desk, and they changed me without any problem at all. I checked in about 11:00 a.m. so I ran... more

Though on the whole the hotel was neat, clean, and reasonably modern, I found the experience frustrating. They have a tendency to "nickel & dime" their visitors at every opportunity. The fitness center is not free; neither is internet access. Most hotels at least have free wireless internet in the common areas of the hotel (e.g. the lobby), but this... more

Was in New Orleans for a convention with my wife. The Hotel was OK (few lines at check-in or check-out), service was average to good overall. A few problems to note: 1. Saw many smokers having to stand (no chairs or benches) outside the hotel because there were apparently no accommodations for smokers at the Sheraton. Many complained that none... more

If you are looking for a convenient hotel from which to explore New Orleans, this is a good choice - it is within walking distance to the French Quarter, Harrahs, the waterfront, and an easy trolley ride to other sites (including the Garden District). It is a business hotel so there are standard amenities, including internet access, gym, etc. but,... more

Stayed here for 5 nights in early May for a business conference -- but brought my wife & 3 year old. We had a room on the 42nd floor - the Club level. After reading the previous posts I was on the lookout for trouble. Here's what i found: This is mostly a business person's hotel. We did NOT see... more

Don't make this mistake. This is a frat party hotel. You'll be trapped in the elevator with sweaty, beer-soaked rowdies, be woken at 4:00 a. m. by wild parties, and then kept awake by the slamming doors of the returning revelers. The rooms are small and brown, predominately stained, and marginally redeemed by the river view. The hotel is understaffed,... more

There appeared to be no management in sight. I had several problems during two recent business trip and there appeared to be no one available to solve my problem. So much for Starwood Preferred service. Amazingly the head bell hop stepped in to solve my room issue. Long lines for check in, kids (and adults) runnign around the lobby. I... more

Consistent with other reviews, also stayed here for conference. Had no choice in the matter. I'd never book this unless I wanted to stay on the strip and "party" and didn't care about the hotel. The hotel is sub-par for the money and dont expect any southern "hospitality". Noise: The walls are VERY thin., be prepared to get cozy with... more

I'm a Starwood Preferred guest member and I'm very disappointed at my stay at this hotel. For starters, the Valet parking is quite expensive but the only option if you stay at this hotel. Valet parking is $26.95+ tax which brings the total to $30. The gym is not free either. It's $10 a day, I'd just rather I walked... more
