Elysian Fields Inn is a wonderful place and a great location. Jim and Leigh were both friendly and helpful. The inn is immaculate, the bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi was just what we needed after a long day of walking. Frenchman Street was a great place to hang with music, coffee, and restaurants. I felt so at home at... more

The innkeepers accommodated our party of fifteen with style, comfort and affordability. The inn is a refurbished gem within walking distance of the French Quarter. Breakfasts were bountiful and delicious, and were prepared and served by Leigh and Jim (wife/husband owners) with the aim of pleasing the guests. We felt welcomed and pampered the entire week of our visit, and... more

I stayed at the Elysian Fields Inn for two nights early in June as a treat to myself on the front end of a Habitat for Humanity build in St. Bernard's Parish. I had never been to New Orleans before and wanted someplace that gave me a true sense of the flavor of the city and its neighborhoods. I also... more

Our son and his fiance, New Orleanians, wanted us to check EFI out as a lodging for our multi family and very widespread demographic group. Their wedding was the occasion, which was set for City Gardens for Friday June 13. Leigh and Jim are so present and helpful, whether by phone, internet , walk up and check it out in... more

My husband and I stayed at this charming B&B for our honeymoon. It was our first trip to New Orleans so this was the perfect place for us because Jim and Leigh were full of great information about where we should go and how to get there. They were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The house is beautiful - filled with... more

We've been staying at the Elysian Fields Inn since a couple of years before Katrina and have always loved our stay! I've been going to New Orleans yearly since 1983 but once I met my wife she didn't want to stay in one of those "back packer guest houses" nor was she going to stay at a corporate hotel. We... more

Our 2nd Jazz Fest pilgrimage from Syracuse to Elysian Fields Inn was just as enjoyable as last year's stay there. Jim and Leigh are great fun to visit. They make you feel welcome and at home there. We loved relaxing on the front porch before and after the Fest. Frequently, our "host-with-the-most" Zeke the dog hung out with us, too.... more

I love this place. It's a warm cozy inn where the innkeepers care for and enjoy their guests. The rooms are clean and homey. Leigh and Jim obviously try to think up anything you might need. They feed you breakfast. The location is fabulous. Frenchman Street is right there. It's going to be fun going back next year. Shoutout to... more

We stayed at this wonderful bed and breakfast for 4 days in April. The inkeepers were friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating. We could not have asked for more. more

New Orleans is open for business, y'all, and I exhort you to make the trip to the Crescent City, and to make the superlative Elysian Fields Inn your NOLA home-away-from-home. Hosts Leigh and Jim Crawford embody Southern hospitality--staying with them felt more like a friendly visit to a friends' warm and welcoming home than an impersonal and anonymous hotel stay.... more
