This place was a complete disaster. It looks great from the outside, and pretty charming in the parlor. HOWEVER, the real story is in the details. 1. having to climb up AND down stairs to get to your room 2. passing a squashed roach in the hall on the way to the room for DAYS...no apparent need to clean it... more

We never actually stayed here. We called to cancel our reservation two days after making it. It took seven months to obtain a partial refund, and only because our bank fought for us. The managers kept promising a refund to our credit card, but never processed it. Finally, when we disputed it officially, they claimed not to have received our... more

A group of us were booking a stay for a wedding we were attending. I'm not sure who was told that this B&B was a good place to stay. Because it was Jazz Fest weekend, we had to book early and we had to cancel before 30 days prior to our stay, otherwise we would forfeit our deposit. The plan... more

We spent a few nights at the hotel around the fourth of July. A few short insights: - The bed was really rickety. We were worried about it collapsing (just from lying down). Not exactly a romantic experience. - The sheets were clean, but thin. - The bathroom was, basically, a disaster. The shower was a bit adventurous. Too bad... more

I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. We arrived on June 2, and checked out on the 4th of July. The location was perfect! Just 1/2 a block away from the St. Charles car, and within walking distance to great stuff on Magazine Street. It has a cool little grocery store right across the street that... more

We stayed here six nights during 2003 Jazz Fest.Feedback regarding our stay at the Acadian Orleans Inn Hotel New Orleans:To put it simply, the Acadian Orleans is by far the worst B&B we have ever stayed in. If it hadn't been Jazz Fest week we would have looked for other accomodations. And, we actually did try to get a room... more

We came to this hotel for our honeymoon in October, 2002. When we arrived the place looked really cool, very gothic. We were given a room that was lovely. It was large and filled with antiques, and as an extra bonus it was right next to a church and we could sometimes hear the choir music drifting through our open... more

Looks nice on the web site, but a few things they don't tell you: 1. It's next to a construction site. Construction begins at 7 a.m. LOUD construction. 2. The neighborhood is not good. Yes, it's a block off St. Charles. No, it's not off the quaint, pleasant part of St. Charles. 3. If you can't climb stairs, stay away.... more
