We love the location of this hotel but the room we had sucked! I had stayed here before and had a beautiful room so when I called for Papa Noel rate in December, I assumed it would be the same type of room- I was very wrong. The room that we got was the size of a postage stamp.I had... more

Good location, but there's a lot of construction going on down on Canal Street and at least for the present time, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Rooftop pool is a nice bonus. Rooms were OK, but nothing special. Unless you can get a really good deal on a room (like $79 or less), I wouldn't recommend staying here. more

Recently stayed at the Alexa over Christmas. Unfortunately the airline lost my luggage. I asked for a robe from housekeeping and they brought us two within half an hour, which we were not charged for. Our room was quite big and bright with almost floor to ceiling windows overlooking Canal Street. The location is excellent - we were able to... more

Excellant location! Can walk to almost anything. We went for a football game, and then partied on Bourbon Street. The room was small, but perfect for what we needed. Very clean and the staff couldn't have been any nicer. Would not stay anywhere else when we go back. more

The service, the staff, and the lovely room., the comfortable beds, the well appointed bathroom, ALL excellent. The bar, the restaraunt , fabulous . The only negative was the fact that our non smoking room REEKED of smoke, even after three days :( Is there any such thing as a non smoking room in New Orleans? This clearly marked non... more

We stayed at the Alexa for 6 nights over Halloween. The location is great Canal, Royal, & of course Bourbon are at your fingertips. Very easy to get to the St Charles streetcar, right across Canal street. We arrived in the morning, left our bags and then were called on our cell phones when a room was available round 2pm... more

My husband and I recently spent three nights at the Alexa for Halloween weekend. We checked in on the Astor Crowne Plaza side and stayed on the Alexa side. We were able to pull right in front of the hotel on Canal Street to drop off the car with the valet and get assistance with our bags. The Astor front... more

I read some pretty bad reviews about this hotel and I thought it was pretty decent. I read some reviews about the walls being too thin and being able to hear the hallways from your room. I heard nothing!!. We just got back we went halloween weekend. The location is great Canal, Royal, & of course Bourbon are at your... more

We recently returned from a 5 day stay at the Alexa. The hotel is in the best location. We walked everywhere. We were on the 4th floor on Canal Street and found it a little noisy at night, however, it never kept us awake. All in all a great place to stay. We would definitely stay at the Alexa again... more

This is a really nice hotel with a superb location right in the French Quarter. The lobby is pretty basic and on arrival I thought we were going to be dissappointed but the room was lovely (although a little small). Our bathroom had a great shower and looked very plush. Negatives? Well, the swimming pool (which is actually located in... more
