Even though we always find our hotel on Tripadvisor.com, when traveling with a dog, we've learned to call the hotel directly to make reservations. Some of the reviews I read were not glowing...but again, traveling with a pet...you're limited to good hotels. We found this hotel to be clean, quite sufficient, and accomodating to us and our needs. All pet... more
This review will be brief and to the point as I was driving across country with my 3 year-old and cat and was staying in many motels. I chose this place primarily because it was a Holiday Inn and had a restaurant on the premises. What a disappointment! The room was dark and didn't feel very safe. We were put... more
This must be one of the oldest HI properties, and hasn't aged well. The bathroom was one of the smallest we've ever had, carpet was dirty, plumbing was balky, and there was a HUGE cobweb over the bed. Wireless internet was non-functioning.The restaurant was completely without breakfast patrons, probably for good reason, but there were donuts and coffee available in... more
The Holiday Inn Fredricksburg was just as good as the HI name we expect and have grown to love. The hotel seems a little older at first site, but all that is thrown out the window upon entering. The lobby is beautiful, large and decorate tastefuly. There is a nice restaurant on premisis and a nice meeting room that gives... more
I travel a lot for business, and try to stay at Holiday Inn whenever I can in order to earn club points. Never had a problem until I stayed here - they refused to honor my Priority Club membership. Additionally, the front desk help (an older woman with shoulder length hair and glasses and a younger girl with long hair),... more
Nice place, spacious room that was spotless, fluffy pillows. Very nice front desk people. Only Coffee and donuts for breakfast. There's a computer room with internet in the lobby. I shut the door because there's a smokey bar on other side of lobby with karaoke. I heard my fill of country singer wannabes. Good choice for the price. more
Just a stop over during a journey home. This is an older property that has been updated. The rooms are outdoor entry. Rooms were very clean with new amenities. Indoor pool and hot tub is a nice touch. Outdoor pool not open during our stay. Our room, 114, was directly across from the entrance way of the indoor pool (which... more
Very nice, clean and neat. However, upon entry into the lobby, it wreaked of cigarette smoke (probably from a bar they have in there - I didn't see one, but, I'm sure there had to have been one.) I initially was given room #173 which is on the outside-right of the building which is quite dismal and dark over there.... more
I agree with the other poster about the invasion of privacy. I brought home made banana bread with me so I would have some breakfast to eat. At some point during the day while we were out, someone sliced themselves off a chunk of bread and then didn't even wrap it back up the same way. I'm not sure how... more
