This hotel was okay, and I say just okay! The room was alright, it was quite small. We were very excited that the hotel had a pool, but the pool was very hot, over 120 degrees, so it was certainly not a refreshing dip. The hotel was not well kept; there was trash/dirt throughout the hallway; Trays and vacuum cleaners... more

I looked for a hotel rather late for the weekend of MIT's graduation (and Harvard, and other schools, no doubt). The Holiday Inn was one of the few that was $200 or less, still available, wasn't in a totally sketchy or inconvenient location, and got decent reviews, so I went with it. The Holiday Inn is in Brookline on the... more

I spent two nights at the Holiday Inn Brookline: ** Service: perfunctory but fine-had no interactions except at check-in and check-out ** Room: Standard issue HI, bathroom a bit dated but new, plush, bedding. The room overlooked the interior 'atrium' so there was no natural daylight, which was occasionally off putting. ** Location: For someone OK with public transportation, it... more

This is an old but partially renovated and reasonably priced (for Boston) hotel in a great location. Can walk to small shops, a movie theater, and lots of restaurants around Coolidge Corner. Jae's, a nice Asian restaurant, is right across the street, as is the streetcar. It's a short ride to Fenway Park, the Gardiner Museum, or the Boston Museum... more

This is like a trip back in time. Incredibly tired and dated architecture and layout. Very dingy and rather grim. However, very cheap compared to downtown Boston and right by a T station. Also convenient for Coolidge Corner and it's restaurants and bars. This is the only chain hotel in the area but there are many fine B&B's that are... more

I did not stay at the Holiday Inn, but rather was there for a week long seminar. The conference room had a musty/moldy odor and several people, including myself, had allergic reactions (sneezing, headaches). The air vents in the ceiling had black stuff around them leading me to think there may be a mold/dust issue. People who were attending this... more

The staff was great.  They went beyond what I have experienced elsewhere.  All seemed eager to help you.  The Sunday buffet was excellent.  The small lunch/dinner room was warm and comfortable.  The food was good and the bartender/waiter was friendly and very accomodating.  I requested a 2nd floor room.  I loved the corner room viewing the intersection of Beacon and... more

I've stayed at this hotel twice and probably won't ever stay here again. Many of the rooms are small and have double (not queen) beds. Rooms on the first and second floors look out on an indoor atrium, so the windows in these room admit nothing but noise and smoke from burnt toast, wafting up from the restaurant and other... more

The hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient. In just a few minutes walk down Beacon Street you can reach stores, restaurants and a post office, but for the traveler looking to hit downtown Boston, the green line T stops right outside the hotel at the St. Paul stop. My room was large and comfortable and had a nice view of... more

It started out OK.. The location is good. Looked reasonably well kept. You'll either like or hate indoor atrium. Wireless internet work flawlessly, at least in my room. However... What's with running out of hot water in the morning for both days I was staying? IT WASN'T EVEN THAT COLD OUTSIDE!! The receptionists didn't look appear to be much embarassed... more
