I had a great stay at the Tremont recently. I was in Baltimore for a training event, and a block of rooms at the Tremont was reserved for us. So I can't speak to the reservation process, but I can offer a review on the rest. I was very happily surprised with the size of the room. Mine had separate... more

Thank you for your review, and for deomstrating an excellent feature of the Tremont Plaza. Our Premier One Bedroom Suites average over 700 square feet, and feature a bedroom with one king or one queen bed, a spacious living room, a game table with chairs for dining, and a kitchenette. We assign these rooms for long-term stays because having this...

Booked this hotel through Priceline for 5 nights while we were in town to watch some baseball games. Was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised by what we got. We arrived at the Baltimore train station and decided to walk to the hotel since it was a nice day. Its about 12-15 blocks... more

Thank you for the great comments! We're glad you enjoyed your stay. I just wanted to touch on one of your comments to highlight its importance. Most hotels offer rooms with two full size/ double beds as their 2-bedded option. Not so at the Tremont Plaza! Each and every one of our 88 Studio Suites with Two Queen Beds offers...

We booked this hotel on priceline and got a good rate ($79).I would not pay any more than that for this hotel. The lobby of the hotel is fairly nice, but the room felt outdated and dingy, and was next to the elevator. When we asked to move we were told that our rate was only for a queen bed... more

I am certainly disappointed to read your comments about the Tremont Plaza. Many of your comments go very much against the tide of comments we've received throughout the spring and summer about how strong our guest service skills are. As far as the room type you booked, the rooms reserved on websites such as Priceline and Hotwire are Studio Suites...

The front desk clerk transfered my reservation from Tremont Park to the Plaza at the same rate I had even though the Plaza rate is higher. Nice bright clean room, updated decor. My room was very quiet even though it was next to the elevator; I didn't hear a thing. I always request to be far away from elevators and... more

Thank you for the glowing comments! Regarding the quiet nature of the rooms despite being near the elevators, there's 2 important factors: as an all-suites hotel, our rooms are spacious and therefore the sleeping areas are set back so that outside noise including elevators cannot be easily heard; and as a high-rise, 37-story building, we feature only 9 or 10...

I stayed here for a friend's batchlor party. The hotel staff is friendly, but the hotel itself is nothing special and is very dated. My suite had a refridgerator and microwave, but the room was average. The bed is comfortable. Hotels guests have to pay for parking. It was very overpriced for what I got in my opinion. more

Thank you for writing a review about the Tremont Plaza. Our management team certainly agrees that the hotel rooms need an update, and the great news is that our hotel room renovation will begin near the end of 2008 and will continue into the first quarter of 2009. As far as the price paid, your dates of travel were during...

Overall, not a bad place to stay. It was quiet and spacious and clean. The only complaint that I have is that the bathrooms are in need of major updates. The water pressure sucked (maybe because I was all the way up on the 30th floor), the lighting was poor and the exhaust fan and countertops were non-existent. On the... more

Thank you for writing a fair and balanced review of the Tremont Plaza Hotel. I agree with your comments, and I am pleased to announce that the hotel rooms will undergo a renovation beginning late this year and continuing into 2009! Thank you for pointing out that our food is so wonderful! Besides In-Room Dining, we offer the gourmet Plaza...

Check-in is 4pm but the rooms weren't ready at 4pm. I was told the rooms could be 30 to 45 minutes before they were available. I gave the front desk my cell phone number to call me when they were ready. I called 1 hour later and the rooms weren't available. I again gave them my cell phone number to... more

While I certainly empathize with your situation and apologize for your inconvenience, I do wish that we had the opportunity to address your concerns while you were still with us, via our 24-hour Manager on Duty or the Front Desk Manager on duty. All guest emails cross my desk, and I certainly have not received any correspondence outlining any of...

The location of the hotel is great, the room service was prompt, the staff were helpful and friendly but we did not sleep at all. The beds in the room were very uncomfotable as they were lumpy and uneven with a deep crevice in the middle. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good nights... more

I am certainly surprised and disappointed to read your comments. In fact, if one were to read the next 20 or so reviews, you'll see that we're so often praised for our bedding. Clearly, we welcome the opportunity to inspect the room you stayed in during your recent visit. Please feel free to contact me at the Tremont Plaza, and...

Recently stayed at Tremont for one night. Hotel is in a good location, about a 5-10 minute walk to the water. Staff was friendly. Our double bed room was not ready at the time of check in so we were given an option of waiting (which I did not want to do since we wanted to get settled and the... more

I am disapponited to hear that your experience was less than ideal. I hope that you are able to take a few moments extra to contact me at the hotel, as I would like to know which suite you stayed in so we can inspect the sleeper sofa as well as ensure that the kitchenette and bathroom have since been...

I stayed here earlier this month while on a business trip in Baltimore. Our event was at the convention center which is an easy 1/2 mile or so walk. This is within walking distance to the inner harbor shops and also the Camden Yards ballpark. The rooms have a small kitchenette area, a living room area and then a separate... more

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're certainly glad you enjoyed your visit and recommend our hotel to others. Our location is a huge advantage--after all, walking 5 blocks to the Inner Harbor or 7 blocks to Oriole Park is not such a big deal when you're paying $100 less per night versus comparable hotels closer to the waterfront....
