Ended up at the Mt Vernon after Days Inn Inner Harbor did not honor my reservation. Mt Vernon is a bit older and one elevator was under repair during my stay. My room was nice, but small. The TV channel line up was limited, but surprising has ShowTime included. They do have free WiFi (not secure) which was quite strong... more
Our stay at the Mount Vernon Hotel was excellent! Although it is about a 12-15 minute walk to the harbor and convention center, the hotel was by far the best value I could find in the area. It is an older building, but that gives it a lot of charm and interest. It is beautifully decorated in the main entrance... more
I like staying in the Mount Vernon district of Baltimore, "midtown" about 8 or 9 blocks from the Inner Harbor. The First Cathedral in the US is one block away, the excellant Walters Art Gallery is also just one block away. Within 5 blocks are dozens of great restaurants. The rooms in this hotel are spotlessly clean, super comfortable mattress... more
Aweful. That's the only word I can use to describe the Mt Vernon Hotel. First of all, they forget to mention to you that the Hotel also doubles as dorm rooms for college students. Besides the all night parties, someone pulling the fire alarm at 4 AM, and drug addicts laying all over the stairs. Our bed was missing a... more
My husband and I have stayed there at least five times when we have come to Balitmore for baseball games. Its location is great ( an easy 25 minutes walk to the stadium), the price is right ( we're hardly in the room, going to museums while not at the ball park or eating at one of the many ethnic... more
I stayed for one night for a baseball game. It was a good location for a good price. Walking distance to everything, and easy to get to. It was a really safe clean hotel. I wasnt planning on staying in the hotel all day so the minor issues werent really a problem for me. The problems: 1. No dial tone... more
This is a fine hotel. It obviously has gone under some major renovation and it certainly looks it. The staff was helpful and kind. I will stay again. I have found a new homeport in Baltimore. It's called the Mount Vernon Hotel. more
I liked the visit I had to Baltimore, since it was my first the seafood....amazing! The Mount Vernon was missing something though, little things. I could be nit picking but honestly when I stay at a hotel I don't expect to be calling the front desk for things that should have already been in my room. I had to call... more
This hotel has undergone a major renovation and is clean and NEW. We read the reviews, but wanted to stay near the museums so we gave it a try. Our travel agent said it was renovated and she was correct. Bonnie is the new manager and she is a classy lady. She greeted us upon check in and explained the... more
