This place should be called the Blue Sanctuary. This little hidden jewel is a great place for a inner city retreat. I loved the whole feel. From the clean and luscious room and bath, to the friendly service, to the cozy atmosphere. My stay at the Blue Door was terrific on all fronts. I was visiting Baltimore for the first time, and Roger and Cecelia were kind and patient in helping me navigate the city. My room, the Washburn, was large, elegant and clean, and the breakfasts were also wonderful (and very big). I recommend the Blue Door very strongly. more

My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with the "Blue Door on Baltimore" during our May visit. We were in the enormous Washburn room, which faces the street and has a large bathroom attached.
