We had a nice stay at this Marriott. It is right of I-95 which was great for us since we were traveling to Orlando and just needed a good place to sleep. That's what you'll get here as the rooms were clean, smelled fresh, and the beds were great. We ate at a nearby restaurant so I don't know what... more

It seemed for awhile that the Marriott brand hotels were falling behind their subsidiary brands in comfort and amenities - if my stay at this Marriott was any indication, it seems like the flagship has finally caught up. The beds and pillows were very comfortable (always a plus for me as a business traveler, since really the only time I... more

The staff here were great, the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Best of all, the indoor heated pool was actually warm and wonderful. I'd love to stay here again. The only negative factor was the COLD temperature in the conference room -- one guest actually brought a blanket to wrap herself in. Not until late on the 2nd day... more

The Jacksonville Marriott is located south of the city and a 20-minute drive from downtown. The property itself looks as if it has recently undergone renovations and the immediate setting is rather green. There are several shortcoming apparent however once you get past the courteous check-in and the portrait of the beneficinet Marriott founders. My room on the third floor... more

This is a nice hotel that I find is suitable only to business travelers. I can’t see any other reason to stay here other than business, as the hotel is located in the nearby of a business park together with several others, and to me this place looks like the middle of nowhere. Nice green areas, but no attractions in... more

Thank goodness my stay was a company paid expense. The inside is very old and dated. The bathrooms are just awful. Shower doesn't work, water smells like sulfur. The staff were ok and the buffet breakfast was good, but not a recommended property for a family vacation, and ok for business if you don't spend much time in your room. more

This Marriott is in an area with a whole bunch of other hotels, but the setting is very pretty - lots of trees and even a small pond. It's a very nice property with a knowledgeable staff. The only negative is the dining - same old boring Marriott food, but there are lots of good restaurants within a short drive. more

Great place for biz travelers. Fast check-in and good room service. There were many golfers staying here, so there must be some good courses. Flat screen TV was pretty nice too! more

Stayed here several times in the past. This was my first stay in a year or so and was surprised by the renovations. They did a great job with the lobby bar and room renovations. Very quiet hotel to be so large. Comfortable, ambient rooms. Room service prompt, decent location...in-between the beach and downtown. The Radisson next door has a... more

I am Marriott Platinum Elite and I travel to Jacksonville regularly on business and usually stay at the Marriott Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra (much much nicer). The Sawgrass was sold out for a few nights during the beginning of the week, so I decided to give the Marriott JAX a try. I booked a room on the Club level because... more
