The staff here were great, the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Best of all, the indoor heated pool was actually warm and wonderful. I'd love to stay here again. The Jacksonville Marriott is located south of the city and a 20-minute drive from downtown. Thank goodness my stay was a company paid expense. The inside is very old and dated. The bathrooms are just awful. Shower doesn't work, water smells like sulfur. The staff were ok and the buffet breakfast was good, but not a recommended property for a family vacation, and ok for business if you don't spend much time in your room. more

This Marriott is in an area with a whole bunch of other hotels, but the setting is very pretty - lots of trees and even a small pond. It's a very nice property with a knowledgeable staff. The only negative is the dining - same old boring Marriott food, but there are lots of good restaurants within a short drive. more

Great place for biz travelers. Fast check-in and good room service. There were many golfers staying here, so there must be some good courses. Flat screen TV was pretty nice too! more
