Stay in Philly 1 to 2 times per year for eight years. Couryard by Marriott is the only hotel we have been to more than once until we found the Inn at Penn. It is a VERY NICE hotel. We would prefer a wonderful B&B but can not find one in Philly. This hotel is the next best thing. IT... more

As one poster noted previously, this is a great location when visiting students at UPenn or Drexel, but it is a distance from the city and tourist areas. The station for the underground "trolley" is only two blocks away, so it's easy to get downtown for a $2 fare. The hotel is lovely, with an art deco interior. The staff... more

The hotel is pretty. if you are visiting U Penn or Drexel it is probably your only choice. However, if you are planning to see any of the historic district sites there are lots of better choices. A cab to a from the Franklin Instit. was about $10 with tip. There were many hotels within walking distance. The cab to... more

Just got back from the Hilton Inn at Penn. We drove down from NYC just to see the historic sights and to see the King Tut Exhibit. It was well worth the money and one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a while. The staff is exceptionally pleasant and the service was superb. The beds are comfortable, the... more

This is a very nice Hilton property in the University district of Philadelphia...but only a 10 minute drive to the historic areas near downtown. The hotel has a charming art deco feel, and the room was large, clean, and nicely decorated. I love the white down comforters I've seen at the last few Hiltons I've stayed in. It's very easy... more

I have stayed at this hotel several times before when a guest of the University of Pennsylvania (it is in the heart of campus), and it has always been pleasant. But this time, I noticed some definite upgrades in quality and comfort. The furnishings appear new, very attractive Art Deco lamps and opulent bed coverings, new feather bed tops. Other... more

The first thing I want to say about the Inn at Penn is that the bed is the most comfortable one I've ever slept in. While we splurged a little bit to stay here, the bed alone makes it worth the price, in my opinion. The room was also large, clean, and nicely decorated, and the bathroom was also particularly... more

My wife and I took our two adult children (ages 19 and 20) to Philadelphia to see the King Tut Exhibit(which was disappointing in terms of presentation and because it is implied that King Tut's remains will be there but you find out at the exit that they are not). We had two adjacent rooms on the sixth floor and... more

This is a very good hotel. Newly decorated, wide halls, nice beds and bathrooms, nice restaurants, very helpful staff, reasonable room prices. The only negative is that it is away from downtown Philly so you need to take cab or bus to visit the museums or the sights. It is located in the University section of town where there are... more

A friend and I wanted to see the King Tut exhibit in Philadelphia. At the Gophila.com site, the Inn at Penn was offering tickets to that exhibit as well as another Egyptian-themed exhibit at the University of Pennsylvania. We decided this was a good deal, and booked the room From the moment we arrived, the staff were very helpful and... more
