Uncle's Upstairs Inn provided a horrible lodging experience. Upon check-in at the run down bar downstairs, my partner and I were greeted by the foul stench of stale tobacco emanating from the early Reagan-era carpeting. We found this inn online and liked everything we saw on the proprietor's website. It is located in an incredible location and very well priced. The main attraction of Uncle's Upstairs is its location, nestled among several Philadelphia gay bars and clubs, as well as convenient to the arts district and walkable to the historic old town and various patriotic sights.
