I have to agree that the best thing about this place is the location. It is literally in the historic district. The staff was very friendly and courteous. They let us extend our check out time to 1PM. Check in and out was a breeze. For being so close to the historic area, it was also quite reasonably priced. The... more

My family and many of our friends recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Philadelphia's Historic District for our daughter's wedding. We had a block of rooms for several nights, which included the July 4th holiday weekend. Everything about this hotel was terrific, from the ideal location to the lovely guest rooms. But the unusually friendly and accomodating staff was... more

My husband, teenage daughter, and I stayed her two nights in June. We liked the location in the historic district. The front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. The room was nicely furnished. The bathroom was a bit small with a single sink and small counter. The hair dryer took an extremely long time to dry our hair. I... more

I stayed at this hotel the week of May 31 - June 4 while I attended a conference at the Philadelphia Convention Center. What a great hotel! The location is in what seems like a very safe area, and is within walking distance to all of the major sights (U.S. Mint, Libery Bell, Betsy Ross House, Constitution Hall, etc.) and... more

Clean hotel, within walking distance of all major historical places in Independence Park. Clean rooms, comfortable and secure. Excellent staff. Dinner meal was essentially pub-like food and was disappointing. Breakfast area does not have near enough seats for the number of guests in the hotel. Went back to my room and ordered room service for breakfast meals which turned out... more

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, we had a view of the Christ Church steeple from our room. All the sights were in walking distance: Ben Franklin's grave, Franklin court, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House, the mint, etc. We parked the car and didn't have to use it once. We got a... more

We just spent 2 nights at the hotel over Memorial Day All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We got a bed upgrade from double to Queen, which wasn't available when we booked. Room was clean and fresh, not luxurious, but looked recently decorated. Shower was great, towels yummy, nice soap, etc. Had breakfast, reasonably priced and good. Even... more

I stayed at this hotel because it was the least expensive ($180/night!) hotel available during my reunion weekend. My other choices were both near or over $300/night, so it was a no-brainer to stay here. The staff were very friendly, and accommodated my request for an early check-in. If you're in town to see the historic sights, you won't find... more

We were booked into this hotel as part of a conference, though the room rates were not significantly cheaper than an individual boking would have been. The rooms are quite spacious with 2 big beds, clean, modern and comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful though the front desk was very busy and there always seemed to be people... more

Friendly, helpful staff. Room was exceptionally clean, bathroom newly renovated. Hotel really is located right in the middle of the historic district - overlooks Ben Franklin's grave!! Major attractions all within 4 block radius. Well worth it. more
