The location of AKA is terrific. Just around the corner from the Plaza, 5th Ave, W57th and an underground stop. We had a studio room which was a bit small. My wife and I stayed at AKA Central Park (1 bedroom) for 2 nights while in NYC recently. The room was terrific and the amenities were outstanding especially when compared to what you get at a normal chain hotel. We've stayed in Midtown Manhattan several times at Hilton, W, Marriott, etc and the rooms always felt very small and cramped.... more

We spent a weekend at the AKA to hang out in the city. What was described as a suite was really a good sized room with a tiny kitchen in the entry vestibule.
