This is the 2nd year in a row we have stayed at the Loma Lodge. It is not fancy and it is a little out of the way but it is nice and the location is very central to most of San Diego's attractions. They have free Wi-fi access which was nice and no one really bothers us while we... more

We stayed at the Loma Lodge for a week and enjoyed our stay. We had a room at the back - behind the lobby. The room was small but worked well. The shower was actually very good - the water stayed the same temp for the entire shower. It is an economy hotel but is clean and works. The only... more

I have stayed at the Loma on and off throughout the month of DEC. It is comfortable, clean and the entire staff is excellent. A very welcoming environment. The day manager, Natasha, is a special treat for sure. I would highly recommend the Loma to anyone coming to San Diego. It is convenient to shopping, restaurants and the rates are... more

We got two King bed rooms for 5 people for $79 each on a Friday night. Rooms were fine, very clean, although a bit dated and musty. Bed was surprisingly pretty comfortable. The pool was empty, and they were doing some construction around it. Staff was exceptionally nice. Each room has a sliding glass door, so the outside noise level... more

Loma Lodge is a quaint 43 room motel with an awesome staff and the best houskeeping I have seen in a long time. I have stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels and they are not as clean as this motel. They serve free coffee and danish and muffins and hot chocolate and have a great location with easy access... more

Loma Lodge was a basic acceptable hotel. We arrived on the weekend and found out that it is dificult to get rooms in that area. It is about a15 minute walk to the old town. The price of the room doubles on the weekends but Mon to Thurs it has cheaper rates. The halls, corridors and pool were quaint. The... more

Dont do it! We booked over the phone from Vegas and got quoted a price of around US$90 per night in a standard double room and trusted the lady at the front desk regarding how good the value was. When we arrived we noticed a large sign board stating the price was US$45 per night! When i asked them to... more

A friend and I stayed at the Loma Lodge over July 4th weekend for 4 nites. Overall the place was nice and the staff was OK -- nothing really wowed me. Some things underwhelmed me. We booked a king suite (I don't honestly remember the exact terminology of how they call the room). It was a king sized bed in... more
