Recently returned from my 2nd stay at the Hotel Commonwealth (HC) and I highly recommend! I travel to Boston often, and usually stay at the Four Seasons because it is closer to my headquarters, however, decided to return to HC for a change from my usual routine. Honestly, I believe this hotel to be very close to that of the... more
My husband and I just returned from a overnight stay at the Hotel Commonwealth, it was a lovely property the staff was very nice and helpful. We stayed in a commonwealth room which was very large with a extremely comfy king bed. I would reccomend this hotel the only draw back being we were on the third floor directly above... more
Hotel Commonwealth, Boston Back Bay area. We have just returned from our third visit to the Hotel Commonwealth, and it is just as we remembered. It is superbly managed, every request is met with charm and professionalism. The Director of Guest Services organised every aspect of our trip brilliantly, thoroughly professionally and with care and consideration. The Reception staff are... more
Overall stay very good. Hotel decor beautiful, service very good, location (directly above Kenmore "T" station) convenient. Restaurant in hotel (Great Bay) is awful -- avoid at all costs. Hotel exercise room small, and treadmills of low quality. more
Great place to stay. Close to everything. I absolutely loved the decor, the service and the luxury rooms. Will recommend. more

We came up from South Carolina to see both a Red Sox game and The Police at Fenway. Our room looked right out onto the... more
Our son is a freshman at BU and based on the reviews on Trip Advisor we had tried to stay at the Hotel Commonwealth for his visiting days and drop off but it had always been booked. Finally because we made our reservations very early, we got in for Parents Weekend. What a pleasure! It was certainly worth the wait.... more
Had a very nice stay at the Hotel Commonwealth. The room was beautiful and looked out directly onto Fenway, which was pretty neat. And even though you're right over the Mass Pike, you don't hear road noise. No problems with the room itself or with the bathroom. Both are put together very well. We had a crib in our room... more
Well, after reading such great reviews of this Hotel, I decided to book it for my weekend away to celebrate my anniversary. We booked a junior suite, which is a large room with a separate living room and bedroom. It had two televisions, a huge desk and comfortable chairs with an ottoman. The rooms are separated by curtains. It was... more
