Have recently returned from a four night stay in the lenox a great experience. Firstly location is perfect close to Boston Common and handy for trains ( harvard trip a must) and short taxi rides to anywhere else you want to visit. Absolutely wonderful stay, start to finish (I stayed 6 nights). I booked by calling the hotel, and got a much better rate than on the internet (I paid $205 per night, plus tax and parking). Absolutely nothing too much trouble for the staff, friendly, helpful and taking great pride in their work. The room was beautiful and the bathroom to die for! At $345/night I was hoping for something a little classier. I don't think my room had been properly aired in years. The paint is chipping; the decor is tired and the lighting is terrible. The first thing you notice on entering the hotel is the ambience and plushness.
