I was immediately impressed by the helpfulness of the staff, beautiful decor, and huge room (we had in internet special price). The Beresford is a great option if you want a nice, affordable location near Union Square. The staff was extremely helpful, and the room was very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Older hotel, a bit run down... but in a great location for launching your day in SF. We stayed there for a weekend, no problems at all. Enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning to get your day started. more
