Good place to stay. The hotel staff was very nice. Room surpassed our expectations, except for the paper thing walls. We got lucky that our neighbors didn't stay up too late. My boyfriend and I have just come back from our first trip to San Francisco and the Palace is in a great location to experience all sides of the city. Our room had nice high ceilings and was spacious and the large bed was comfortable too. Breakfast is served in the magnificent old coach hall, with it's grand glass ceiling.... more

This was such a great deal, I had to cancel my Marriott's reservation. This was the first time I've heard of the Palace, so I read up on it. I was in San Francisco for a business conference at another hotel a few blocks away. Actually, I give this a rating of 3.5. Stayed for three nights in early May. Although I am only "Preferred" with SPG, I was upgraded to a junior suite. It was a nice, large room with a giant closet. I like this hotel because I get SPG points and you can get to many restaurants and the financial district easily.... more
