We stayed with our 14-year-old daughter in a two-room suite that, thanks to booking well in advance online, was an outstanding bargain (for S.F.). Our room seemed extremely well maintained, high celings, comfortable beds, rather elegant in fact. The amenities are a little expensive (room service, parking, internet). it's a great place to stay with kids or on business. And... more

The interior design is ornate and implies living in a palace, but after coming directly from a Cabo resort, the room was a huge let down. No coffee maker in the room. Coffee was $12 list price from room service, which means over $15 after add-on costs. Room was not very clean. Room was old with wall cracks and ceiling... more

I loved the Palace! It was every bit as elegant and charming as I thought it would be. I stayed here while attending a convention at the Moscone Convention Center. The rate was really good for a downtown San Francisco hotel as nice as the Palace. The Palm Court breakfast buffet was delicious and well presented. Complimentary raspberry lemonade was... more

Good place to stay. The hotel staff was very nice. Room surpassed our expectations, except for the paper thing walls. We got lucky that our neighbors didn't stay up too late. Cost of hotel parking was on the high side, but the convience of having the parking garage across the street and not worrying about our rental car being broken... more

My boyfriend and I have just come back from our first trip to San Francisco and the Palace is in a great location to experience all sides of the city. Our room had nice high ceilings and was spacious and the large bed was comfortable too. Breakfast is served in the magnificent old coach hall, with it's grand glass ceiling.... more

This was such a great deal, I had to cancel my Marriott's reservation. This was the first time I've heard of the Palace, so I read up on it. My heart still belongs to Marriott, but for the rate given & it was 1/2 star higher than the Marriott SF, I thought I can't lose. Upgraded to a bigger room... more

I was in San Francisco for a business conference at another hotel a few blocks away. Generally I stay where a conference is being held, but there were no rooms available, and the booking agent put me in contact with the Palace. I was so glad she did! My hotel experience for the three days I was there was outstanding.... more

I was quite unimpressed by my stay the Palace Hotel this May, especially after staying at the new Intercontinental San Francisco the two prior nights. The problems started even before we entered the hotel. We walked to the hotel after returning our rental car with my wife pushing our 6 month hold son in a stroller and me lugging a... more

Actually, I give this a rating of 3.5. Stayed for three nights in early May. Although I am only "Preferred" with SPG, I was upgraded to a junior suite. It was a nice, large room with a giant closet. I like this hotel because I get SPG points and you can get to many restaurants and the financial district easily.... more
