I live in Maine, travel to Bar Harbor often, have a limited budget and I just can't make myself spend a whole lot of money on lodging. (I'd rather invest in other things.) We chose to stay in a room in the 4th building that had a view of Frenchman Bay. The room was very clean and spacious. We paid $100 a night + taxes. It was two- double bed room and the beds and linen were good too. Our major suprise with this room was that we could catch the sunrise right... more

This place is a great place for the money. I live in Maine and I like to go to Bar Harbor in the height of the season like everyone else, and I stay at the Edenbrook, because for the money it is worth it. If you ask to stay in the rooms up behind the office the view is great.... more
This is a great little budget motel that gives excellent value for money. It is located one mile outside Bar Harbour, it is within easy walking distance to the town; and has the added benefit of the free Island Hopper bus stopping right outside during the summer when it operates. The rooms are fairly dated, but are clean and comfortable.... more
Edenbrook is a relatively nice older motel that has been kept clean and reasonably priced. It's convenient to both Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, although the walk from the motel to the Bar Harbor shopping and attractions is a lengthy one, most of which is spent along a busy two-lane highway.
