My husband and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon. We stayed on the 7th floor and had a corner, ocean-front room overlooking the lagoon (see photo for view). We could lay in bed and see the ocean...perfect! Every night we slept with the doors open and listened to the waves. The room was very large and perfect... more

This hotel makes a very clear distinction between guests who are there for a vacation and those who are participating in a conference. The staff is very discourteous and the rooms provided to vacationing guests are terrible. Our room had a huge wall in front of the patio door eliminating any view. The bathroom had ants in it that were... more

We chose the Ihilani because we wanted a place near civilization, but not smack in the middle of the chaos and noise of Waikiki. We like to go to Hawaii to relax, so the beach scene? Not our thing. We chose the Ihilani over the Kahala because it had better rooms for the price, though I think we may try... more

In June 2008, I stayed with my family for a week. This was my second go around at Ko Olina. The first time was at the Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club. I don’t want to bore you with details of my travel experience, but I have elite status with all major hotel chains. I travel a great deal, and I’m... more

Pros – Beautiful rooms, wonderful view from our floor (11). Service for everything was great, except that everything came with a price and a tip. The shark, fish and ray pool was nice and they even had an interactive session for $30. Beach access was great to the private calm lagoon. Plenty of chairs and was never very busy. Cabana... more

I'll get to the point. It was my honeymoon. I called several months in advance to find out if they could guarantee me a deluxe ocean view room overlooking the pool. I wanted that view because I've stayed at the Ihilani twice before, and found out that rooms that face north west get exposed to a spot next to the... more

We traveled to the Ihiani with our two teenage children aged 16 years (boy) and 13 years (girl). We all agreed that this is absolutely the very best vacation we have ever had. The staff at the hotel was wonderful and very accommodating. Our room (deluxe ocean view) was very spacious, clean and up to date. The views were gorgeous.The... more

I recently stayed for two nights at the lovely Ihilani resort. It was a nice surprise! This is a solid four-star property in a truly great, quiet location. Good-size rooms, spectacular bathrooms, nice views, and decent service. The lagoons are great for kids and adults. Some complain about the remote location of this hotel, but for me, that is the... more

You might want to think twice about making the 50 minute drive away from town for the mediocre service levels at this resort. At the start of our stay the agent who checked us in was very cold and never looked up once during the minute check in process- nor did he review any of the details of our room.... more

Just beautiful. Beach is very calm. No waves for boogie boarding - this was something I wish I would have known ahead of time because my teenager likes to boogie board - however, I loved the calm waters. The beach offers rentals of chairs and water toys. Good snorkeling right there in the cove. Largest balcony of any hotel I... more
