First off this hotel was way too expensive for what it was. We chose this hotel at the last minute because we were passing through the area. A travel guide recommended it, but I can't understand why. This hotel charged us $130 for a basic room, off-season. It was clean and everything worked fine but in the morning it's very loud (trucks) and there are no ammenities which would justify this price.... more

Good location to Parker Ranch - BUT the facility was old, dirty, and OVER PRICED for the quality. Our room was at the end of a dark, smelly hallway and the bathroom was disgustingly dirty We left the lights on all night - after killing 2 roaches. more

We attended a concert and didn't want to drive back to Kailua so chose to stay here for one night ... mistake! We stayed at the Waimea Country Lodge and found it to be clean with large rooms. It is a motel/court style hotel. Despite the pictures on the internet, this small motel is located right in town in Waimea, but does have a nice view out the back windows. Next to a good restuarant. Room was very large, great TV channels. Not much other options in Waimea, if any, but this motel is fine to stay in--don't be turned off by the outside... more
