I stayed for one night with my two daughters on our way to NC. It is nicely located and after a long drive we could walk to Bob Evans for dinner and then we walked to the delicious ice cream stand on the road behind the hotel. Although this hotel does not have a pool, the same corp owns both... more
I was looking for an inexpensive stop with 4 teenagers on the way to Massanutten skiing. This was a great one. We booked the suite, since there were 6 of us. It was spacious enough that we were all comfortable. Beds weren't the absolute best, but comfortable enough for a hotel. The pillows were great. I was worried when I... more
Hotel had friendly front desk staff. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was nice. Walls, however, were paper thin. For the entire stay I always heard phones in other rooms ringing, hair dryers being used, commodes flushed, doors slammed. Greatest problem was that I constantly heard guests in room above mine 'walking' back & forth across their room. Sounded like elephants... more
This is a great hotel. We were there for business. The hotel was quiet, very clean, very conveniently located. The people were friendly and incredibly helpful. The breakfast was good - English muffins, bagels, toast, boiled eggs, OJ, AJ, coffee, cereals, biscuits & gravy, canned fruit. Free USA Today and free calls. Teensy complaint: put lids on the toilets! Mama... more
Clean, comfortable rooms. Spacious bathroom. Very friendly, attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely come back again. more
The hotel is in a convenient location. We were on a college tour of JMU when we stayed. Rooms were average size and clean, but I definitely agree with previous posts - the walls were very thin - we were awakened by other guests twice during the night. The free breakfast was an added plus. Not a bad hotel for... more
The beds, breakfast, staff were pleasant. Staying at the Sleep Inn you would assume some money would have been expended towards the insulation between the walls and the ceilings/floors. I am not sure if there was any. After our first stay at the hotel, I learned to ask for a room on the top floor. If it were for the... more
I arrived at the Sleep Inn in the early evening and my check-in went pretty smoothly. But once I got to my room I was not pleased. The first thing I noticed was that the carpet had not been vacuumed and the trash had not been emptied in the guest room. Both things I was not happy about but could... more
The good: Nice staff, very clean, nice location: convenient to interstate/restaurants. good price. The bad: They febreeze EVERYTHING. I am sensitive to smells and so this bothered me a lot! The sheets also were smelly (perfume, not bad smell) and that bothered me. My friends, who love perfume, said that the smells even got to them after a night. The... more
